Intensivkurs i engelska

July 28 – 8 August, 2014

English – Proficiency Training for MYP / IB Diploma

About the Course

Our course in English is aimed at teenagers aged 13–17, who seek to improve their English proficiency in order to cope with the demands of communicating effectively in English on the IB MYP / DP programmes. This course is also suitable for students, for example, following one of the Swedish National Programmes in English who are looking to improve their all round academic English.

Initially there is a diagnostic test, which allows us to formulate an individual study programme especially suited to your needs.

The course teaches you to express yourself clearly, accurately and succinctly in English. Emphasis is both on oral and written skills, enabling you to become more proficient when giving presentations, writing reports and essays.

As both the MYP and IB Diploma program involve examination work, the course will also look at the language skills necessary when taking examinations. This applies across the MYP and IB DP curriculum and not just the subject English itself.

Teaching is in small groups but individual help is also available where necessary to help with your unique needs.

Activities

We offer excellent opportunities for outdoor, cultural and sporting activities. Teachers from the school’s recreation department are on hand during the participants’ free time to assist in an active stay.
